"A TWIST OF WISDOM"

There was a man that died and the
angel told the man he was on the 
border line;therefore,he had a choice
to go to Heaven or hell. The man
asked the angel could he visit both
places first. The angel replied,yes
where would you like to go first?
To hell the man said, and upon arrival,
the man look and what he saw was a
lot of people setting at a long table
with a beautiful white tablecloth 
and down the middle of the table was
fabulous foods and fruits of all kind.
But, the man noticed attached to their
wrist was a long handled spoon. The
man looked at the angel and said now
may I go and see Heaven. The angel said
yes and he took the man to Heaven
and when he got there what he saw
was a lot of people setting at a

understand, Heaven and hell are

feed themselves, but the people in 
Heaven take the long handled spoons
and feed each other.

still president of mlgw. if you can
remember gas and water department
promoted blacks to supervisor positions
when them honorable men were running
mlgw. you need to watch what you wish
for, because you may just get it. and 
it may be worst than what you had.

tomorrow is church day. last week i
got up and told the story of what is
happening in gas and water department. in 
my testimony at church i asked everybody
to pray for the men and women in the 
water and gas area. i ask the people
at church to pray for them sick mines
people that think blacks can't be
supervisors. Me and My coworkers we
have a prayer every morning for the 
employees in gas and water. We
investigated this ourselves and
found most of this to be true. But
prayer chances things. Pray can
chance them evil doing mine set
here at mlgw.

in gas department. They say that they
can't find a black qualified to be a
supervisor. Blacks make up almost 90%
of gas and water department. Blacks
have the most seniority, the most 
experience, the most skills, the
most knowledgeable and the most 
educated. There are about five hundreds
employees in gas and water. But they
say they couldn't find one black
that deserved to be supervisor,
out of five center-and five supervisor.
this is a insult. a disgrace.

There has been several inquires this
morning, concerning the Water Standby
Overtime held yesterday August 22,
at the South Service Center. The mood
set by management appeared to be very
receptive in nature and open minded.
There were several issues discussed
between UNION/MANAGEMENT and I
thought yesterday's meeting to be
very good. I want you to know that
I think that the Water Department
Overtime is moving forward moderately
but successively. I think that Rob
Hunter has been instrumental in finding
the middle ground.

That which has happen with the promotion
in gas didn't just happen. This is
along time plan. To tell us by
their action that there is no black

Even water feel a little better about
their overtime. It is ashame the way
