Name - JackieDate -- Thursday, 12 September 2002, at 11:05 p.m. I truly believe that the truth is the light. No lie can live forever. These people truly don't see anything wrong with not promoting Blacks to supervisor in gas and water. Everybody around the company can not believe race is this bad. In some ways it is a blessing that they would show their hand. We got over 20,000 flyers that we are passing out. On our flyer we tell them how bad the company is treating Minorities in promotion in gas and water and we also give them this website address. I have never seen blacks hated this bad before. It got to affect their health. Name - TRUTH Email - MINORITY Date -- Thursday, 12 September 2002, at 9:17 p.m. From - MLGW GAS DEPARTMENT HERE WE GO AGAIN!!!! If you can't believe what has been going on in the gas department, keep watching it's getting worse. Example we have serveral General Foreman jobs opening. Question; who do you think is being consider for these position? Who is the only Supervisor who has never promote a black? Who are they trying to promote? Answers-- Doug Alderson has never promote a black for anything in management. In order to make anything in the Gas Dept. you must have help Doug build his cabin years ago or helped Larry Bass with his lake. The following fit these requirements, which are must have no people skills and you can't find one minority to say something good about these employees> How do they qualify-If you are white you are right= Russ Heiple John Swanton Jimmy Clauch John Deming Charles Morgan This is the new edition to the good ole bys network. IF THESE PEOPLE WHO CANNOT GET ALONG WITH MINORITY ARE SELECTED TO LEAD, WE ARE IN BIG TROUBLE AND DOUG AND LARRY HAVEPLETE KEEP PRAYING FOR THE GAS AND WATER, MINORITIES NEED IT.HAVE SHWON THAT IF YOU HATE MINORITY, YOU WILL BE VERY SUCESSFUL AT MLGW. MY QUESTION IS DO WE NEED TO ADD PERSONEL'S VAL JORDAN TO THE LIST OF DOUG AND LARRY CRONEYS? The public is also upset about Senior Vice President, Curtis Dullihunt new policy with the Cut-Off Department not being able to take checks any more. Also the public will be upset with Curtis Dillihunt and Angela Blakey new policy with the Customer Service Men possiblely not being able to cut them back on if they get cut-off on Friday until the following Monday. With what they are doing if the company comes up again for sale the public will be against us. This is my opinion. I have been more educated in the last year than I have in the last ten years. I may or may not have agreed with everything. But I love the platform that this website makes available for us members. This is what I think a Union is suppose to be all about. I feel that this Union is on the move. This is what we been needing for years. God bless you Union Leaders. As long as you guys do right by the members, the members will continue to support the union and its leadership. I can truthly say That I am proud to be an IBEW member. Name - annaDate -- Tuesday, 10 September 2002, at 10:34 p.m. From - memphis what they are doing in Customer Service is a well thought out plan. On the one hand management say that they are concern about the customers. Then they go out and cut service to the public. management is doing everything to make the public mad. Look like the sale of mlg&w may come back up. How can you care about the customers(public) and at the same time limit and/or cut services. What management is doing to The employees in customer Service down town and out in the field is a plot. Not taking Customers checks and in some cases want turn customers lights back on over the weekend will upset the public. But when something is done good such as the water overtime, that is put on the website as well. I like how the union is keeping it even handed. I love this website. Name - Rick Thompson Email - ibewrick@bellsouth.net Date -- Tuesday, 10 September 2002, at 7:02 p.m. From - Ibew Union Hall, Memphis I wanted to comment on the Water Standby/Overtime meeting held today September 10, 2002 at the South Service Center. I think that the mood set by Rob Hunter presents a good example and a determination to produce a policy that's agreeable with both his staff and the Union members within the Water Department. I would hope that his lead in the way he has worked with us on this particular issue, would set an example for other departments to follow. I will continued to keep you informed on the latest developments concerning this policy. Thanks for your continued support!!!!!!!!
