The pastor asked them to get up and tell their story. All got up but one and told the horror stories of race. Name - James Email - no way Date -- Saturday, 14 September 2002, at 9:23 a.m. From - Memphis what's going on at mlg&w. well let me try to tell you as i see it: first management don't have any respect for the employees or the public. a. they refuse to promotes black employees to Supervisors in the gas&water department. gas and water together got 10 areas and there is not one black at the level of supervisor. you got to hate a race mighty bad for this happen. b. Management in gas refuses to treat the 90% black department fair. and refuses to give them a fair overtime policy. The gas change of command is Larry Thompson, Ware Stinson, Diana Veasey,Gene Crawford. You Blacks worry about somebody hating yall, these are the people responsible for your pain. These are your bosses. c. Barbara Richman has limited your rights in grievance Hearings. She don't want us to have true due process. d. Sherry Dubose have taken the Information Center seniority on biding of shifts. e. Curtis Dillihunt and Sherry Dubose have cut the Information Center hours short 3.5 giving the customers less time to do business with the company. f. Curtis Dillihunt and Angela Blakely cut the Customer Service men hours 2.5 hours shorter that it was. g. Curtis Dillihunt and Angela Blakely stop the cut-off men from taking customers checks. This would have stop a cut-off of the customers lights. Management say that they care about the public and the employees but we can not tell. The Information Center hours has been cut from 7:00am to 11:00pm. Starting September 9,2002 Curtis Dillihunt and Sherry cut the information center hours to 7:00am - 7:30 pm.Monday - Friday. According to them they did it to help the public. Vice President Curtis Dillihunt and Angela Blakley also cut the Customer Service Men hours from 7:ooam - 11:00pm. Starting September 9, 2002 Customer Service men hours are cut to 7:00am to 8:30pm.Starting September 9 2002 The cut-off men can't take any more of the customer checks. If the Customers lights get cut off on Friday, even if they get their bill pay that Friday the customer Service men want be able to turn their utility back on to the following Monday. This will do nothing but make the Public mad. I am not upset with the new employees, because it is not their fault.
